What style of photography do I shoot?
This is where fine art photography meets photojournalism.  I combine wedding photojournalism
with a fine art style of photography for a unique and sophisticated look. Photojournalism is a skill,
not just the name of a photography style.  A wedding photojournalist is a photographer whose

strength is in capturing decisive moments.  I capture images that tell a story and combine this style
with a fine art flair that produces very unique images.

To create your photojournalistic story I will arrive well before the bride is dressed and stay until I take
the last photo of the bride and groom enjoying the reception. I work unobtrusively to capture the
action of the day; this way the photographs are not posed or staged.  The events are captured in a
pure, natural state, often referred to as reportage photography. Genuine emotion is caught and
revealed using this style of wedding photography.  Sometimes, the images are black and white
which may emphasize an emotion and enhance to the 'storybook' effect of photojournalism.
However, incorporating some color will
often add a punch of brilliance and detail.  The end result is
a narrative collection of images that show the actual emotions and experiences of the day’s events.

As a wedding photojournalist, I will document your special day and create unique images designed
to tell the story of your day.  If you want candid and artistic photos, a loose and relaxed way of being
photographed, and a photographer that lets the actions of the day happen - instead of making them
happen - this is the style for you and I am the photographer for you.

For traditional portraits I prefer to shoot in my studio where I can control the light to generate a

unique and special fine art look.  However, I have found that photographing children presents
particular challenges.  I prefer to use a photojournalistic style in a setting that is comfortable for the
child, such as a park or your backyard.  This allows the child's personality to be reveled as they
interact and play within comfortable surroundings.
Contract and deposit?
If you choose Creative Images Photography to shoot your wedding, all you have to do is sign a
contract with a $500 deposit. Then a few weeks before your wedding we’ll get together again to
discuss the event in detail.  This meeting helps us to re-meet you and for you the get to know a little
more about us.  We’ll design an outline that will help us chat about what you consider the most
important parts of your day to be.  We will be with you on your very important day and we want you to
be very comfortable with us being there.  It is this personal approach, with this meeting and

attending the rehearsal, that allows you and your party to view me less like a photographer and more
like a friend which helps you relax and lets me get the great photos we want to get.
